Privacy Policy
Draft under legal review. Items in [square brackets] are still being decided. Last updated November 1, 2026.
We collect only what we need to run Fanvas, pay creators and managers, keep people safe and follow the law. We don't sell your personal data, and Fanvas has no ads.
What we collect
- Account: your email address, display name, @handle (creators), password (stored scrambled; we can't read it), role, and date of birth (kept private; never shown on your page). We also record when you confirmed your details are true and which version of the Terms you accepted.
- Profile (creators): photo, banner, bio, links to your other channels, and your prices.
- What you post and send: videos, thumbnails, descriptions, messages, reports, appeals and feedback.
- Payments: what you subscribe to, buy or tip, and when. Card and e-wallet details are handled by our payment provider [name]; we don't store them.
- Identity checks (creators who ask for the ✓): your legal name, the country that issued your ID, a photo of your government ID and a selfie holding it.
- Agency applications: company details, contact person, links, creators named, business registration documents and the contact person's ID.
- Technical: the country your connection comes from (to show prices in your currency), error reports from the site (what broke and on which page), and basic security logs.
- On your device: a login cookie and your light/dark setting. No advertising or tracking cookies.
Why we use it
- To run your account and show your content to the right people.
- To take payments, split them and pay creators and managers.
- To keep Fanvas safe: reviewing videos and photos sent in messages, handling reports, keeping a log of our decisions, preventing fraud and suspending accounts that break the rules.
- To verify creators and agencies.
- To answer you when you contact us, and to fix bugs.
- To meet legal duties (for example tax and payment records).
Who sees it
- Other users see what is meant to be public: creators' names, handles, pages and videos; badges on messages. Fans' emails are never shown to creators.
- Inside a chat, only the people in it see the messages (including a creator's team, shown with a TEAM badge). Fanvas staff look only when a message is reported, a dispute is raised, someone invites us in, or the law requires it.
- ID photos and agency documents are seen only by the Fanvas team.
- Service providers who host and run Fanvas for us: Supabase (database and file storage, Singapore region), Cloudflare (website hosting), and later our payment provider [name] and email service [name]. They may only use the data to provide their service to us.
- Authorities, when the law requires it, or to protect someone from serious harm.
How long we keep it
- Your account and content: until you close your account. Closing takes effect after a 30-day grace period; then your personal data, videos and photos are deleted and your messages show as "Deleted user".
- ID photos: while your account is open; deleted when it closes.
- Agency documents: deleted if an application is declined; kept while the agency is active, and deleted [90 days] after it leaves.
- Payment, tax and safety records the law requires us to keep: [X years].
- Error reports and feedback: [12 months].
- Removed or reported content: a hidden copy, seen only by the Fanvas team, for [180 days], or longer if the authorities ask us to keep it.
- Our decision log (approvals, take-downs, suspensions): [X years].
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, download or delete your personal data, and object to how we use it. Most of this you can do yourself in Account settings; for anything else, contact our Data Protection Officer at privacy@fanvas.tv. If you're not happy with our answer, you can complain to your data protection authority, for example the National Privacy Commission in the Philippines or your local authority in the EU.
Children
Fanvas isn't for children under [13]. People aged [13]–17 can watch free videos but can't subscribe, buy, tip or message creators. Creators, managers and chatters must be 18 or older. If we learn that a child under [13] has an account, we close it.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, access is limited by strict rules in our database, and ID photos and documents are kept in private storage only the Fanvas team can open. No system is perfect; if we learn of a breach that affects you, we'll tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
Changes
If we make important changes, we'll tell you in Fanvas before they take effect.
